Penwork lets you insert fully customisable tables โ with headers, data rows, and configurable dividers โ directly into your handwritten notes pages. Here's exactly how.
Tables are essential for science, economics, history, and any subject that requires structured data. With Penwork you can insert tables that look genuinely handwritten โ using your chosen font for headers and cell text, with customisable divider lines that match your ink colour. The result is a table that blends seamlessly into your handwritten assignment.
Head to penwork.tech. Type or paste your assignment text in the editor, or use the AI generator to create notes automatically. Position your cursor at the point in the text where you want the table to appear.
Click the Insert Table (๐) button in the toolbar. A [table:tbl-xxx] placeholder is added at the cursor position and a table editor panel opens below the editor area.
In the table panel, enter the column headers for your table โ for example: "Subject", "Date", "Marks". Each header becomes one column in the rendered table. You can add as many columns as you need.
Click "Add Row" to add data rows under the headers. Type the cell content for each column. Add as many rows as your data requires โ Penwork will automatically handle pagination if the table spans multiple pages.
Toggle "Show Row Divider" to draw horizontal lines between rows. Toggle "Show Column Divider" to draw vertical lines between columns. Use the Divider Colour picker to match your ink colour, and adjust the line width for thicker or thinner lines.
Click Preview to see the table in context with your handwritten text. The table is rendered in your chosen handwriting font and styled to blend naturally with the rest of your notes. When you are satisfied, click Download PDF for a print-ready A4 file.
There is no hard limit on columns or rows. However, very wide tables with many columns may overflow the page margin โ reduce font size if this happens.
